Belize is a small country (about the size of the state of New Hampshire or for you Californians, about the size of the northern half of California). This remarkable country is located in Central America and has been able to preserve and protect a significant portion of their country’s wild places (about 60% of the country is protected).

In addition, my 2015 trip to Belize (I am teaching a class with my co-instructor Fran Keller – June 14-29) is a field course in Tropical Biodiversity for Sonoma State University.
